Project/Worksheet Templates

PROJECT TEMPLATES

Project Templates are used to create new Projects. When you choose to create a new project, a dialog appears whereby you choose the Project Template (by default STANDARD) which is copied to produce the new project.

You can create as many Project Templates as you like. They are also given a JOBCODE  when you create them, but are stored in a different location to Projects.

The default installation of EstimatorVJ includes two templates - 'STANDARD' and 'V5 EWS FORMAT' .

These can be used as the backbone for creating new Templates.

WORKSHEET TEMPLATES

Each Project contains a default Worksheet Template for each of the following Worksheet types:

1. 1.•Resource Library
   

2. 2.•Section Names
   

3. 3.•Estimate Worksheet
   

4. 4.•Quantity workup sheet
   

5. 5.•Rate workup sheet
   

6. 6.•Cost workup sheet
   
   

When you Create a worksheet for the first time, the program uses the 'Default' Template stored within the project for this new worksheet. These Worksheet Templates define the initial structure for this new Worksheet.

Any Worksheet once created can then be modified without affecting other existing Worksheets.
